When history connects
Hidden in the heart of Karlovy Vary, Villa Julius & Emma P. combines the elegance of the past with the luxury of the present. Mr. Julius Gabriel Pupp would surely be proud to welcome the return of his villa, which after 110 years has once again come to life in its original glory, now in perfect harmony with a sensitive renovation with respect for historical value and architectural integrity that combines the grandeur of the past with the luxurious comfort of today.

About the villa
Near Karlovy Vary, above the Dorothy Nivy, Julius Gabriel Pupp, one of Karlovy Vary's most important hoteliers, chose the site for his villa. He chose a truly unique location, in the middle of nature, above the Dorothy floodplains, on the slopes facing south. His legacy, preserved in this magnificent villa, recalls not only his contribution to the hotel industry in Karlovy Vary, but also his sense of elegance and harmony with nature. We proudly carry on this legacy, enriched with modern luxury, innovative design and timeless elegance.

Birth of Julius Gabriel Pupp
The Pupp family left an indelible mark on Karlovy Vary, not only thanks to the iconic Grandhotel Pupp, but also thanks to a number of other impressive buildings that still adorn the city today. These include the Golden Harp, Quisisana (1888), Villa Themis and many others. Julius Gabriel Pupp (24 March 1870 - 2 November 1936) followed in the footsteps of his father Anton Pupp and became one of the leading figures of this important family. At the turn of the century, in the era of prosperity known as the Golden Age (1870-1914), he decided to build a family mansion that would reflect his status and taste.
Completion of Villa Pupp
Completed in 1914 to a design by renowned architect Friedrich Seitz, Villa Pupp is a masterpiece of its time. In a romantic Italianate style with an irregular floor plan and meticulously decorated interiors, it was a luxurious family residence that fulfilled not only practical needs but also the requirements of representation. Julius G. Pupp lived here with his wife Emmy and relatives in sublime comfort, surrounded by lavish interiors and magnificent gardens. The Villa quickly became one of the most important symbols of prosperity and elegance in Karlovy Vary.

Transformations and reconstruction of Villa Pupp
In 1926 the Pupp family sold the villa. Subsequently, it was used as accommodation for spa patients. After the Second World War it was nationalised and converted into a hostel. Although the villa was used differently during these years, its architectural value remained unquestionable. In 2008, the villa came into the private ownership of a prominent Karlovy Vary builder Ing. Milan Špička. This Karlovy Vary patriot, who built and restored many beautiful buildings in the Karlovy Vary Region, devoted more than 15 years to the reconstruction of Villa Pupp. Thanks to his care and determination, Villa Pupp has once again become one of the most beautiful examples of the architecture of the Golden Age of Karlovy Vary.
New chapter: Reopening of Villa Pupp
After several years of renovation in an effort to preserve its historic refinement, the Villa Pupp monument is entering a new era with a new name after the original owners Julius Gabriel Pupp and his wife Emma and becoming a luxury hotel. With a mission to honor tradition and the Pupp name, the Villa is once again open to the public. Its interiors, gardens and overall atmosphere remain a dignified symbol of elegance and history, linking the past with the present. The Villa has thus come to life once again to offer its guests not only comfort but also an unforgettable experience in the spirit of refinement and taste that has accompanied it from the very beginning.
